There is an urgent need to move quickly to help stabilize all sectors of Canada’s commercial aviation, prevent insolvency and further massive job losses and ensure that the industry can play its necessary and vital role in driving the nation’s post-pandemic economic recovery. Nowhere is this more so than for regional air transport because so many communities rely on our industry for their socio-economic survival. Further delay by the Government to act will make it much more challenging, if not impossible, for service to continue in these remote and northern communities.
